Complicated Process
Made Simple.
I represent international buyers in Cascais and Sintra, from your first questions about Portugal to long after you hold the keys.

The town comes first

You are choosing a town before you choose a house. Where you buy bread, how long the school run takes. Tell me how you want a Tuesday to look and I will bring you the four houses that fit it.
I hold a US real estate licence and a Portuguese passport, and I work in two towns. When your lawyer sends a contract in Portuguese at eleven at night, you have someone to call.

Cascais & Sintra
Thirty minutes separate them. Cascais faces the Atlantic, and you can cross the whole town on foot. Sintra sits under the Serra, wooded and cooler by several degrees.

Cascais
International schools and the sea at the end of the street
Sintra
Old quintas and gardens, cooler than the coast
Estoril & the Coast
Wide avenues and a fast train into Lisbon
What you hire me for
- 01
Luxury Property Buying
I sit on your side of the table. I will tell you when a house is overpriced, and I negotiate in Portuguese so the seller's agent has no advantage.
- 02
Property Sales & Marketing
I prepare and photograph the house before it goes near a portal, then take it to the buyers already looking in your street. If you would rather nobody knew, we sell it quietly.
- 03
International Buyer & Relocation Advisory
Schools, doctors, banks, and a lawyer who will read your contract line by line. I introduce you to the people I use myself.
- 04
Real Estate Investment Advisory
Before you commit, you see the rental figures for that street and a builder's estimate for the roof.

Oklahoma, then Cascais
I have held a real estate licence in Oklahoma since 2019. Before that I ran a remodeling company, which is where I learned what a contractor means by "two weeks" and how to keep a deal alive when the survey comes back badly.
The Portuguese half of my family came first. I know what an American buyer expects from an agent, and I know what a Portuguese notary expects from a buyer. I spend most of my time translating between the two.

Cascais or Sintra? How to decide
Most buyers arrive having already chosen, then spend a week here and change their minds. Compare the weather, the driving and what a roof costs.

Buying in Portugal, in the order it happens
Tax number, bank account, lawyer, offer, promissory contract, deed. American buyers tend to learn this sequence halfway through, which is the expensive way to learn it.

Seven questions to answer before you move to Portugal
Seven questions I ask on the first call. Your answers pick the town, set the budget, and decide whether you should rent for a year first.

The first call costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Some of my clients booked one two years before they bought.
